11:49 pm - Pokemon VX?

I recently acquired RPG Maker VX. If anyone can remember a LONG time ago (might have been on my other LJ account, though) I was making a Sonic-based RPG game with RPG Maker XP, but that got canned when the computer was stolen.

Now I can start again.

But here's the best part.

I joined some forums where I can get help with scripts and stuff for this thing. And someone is trying to (re)create a Pokemon game using the program! So... considering RPG Maker VX is so much easier to use than trying to hack Pokemon games, I think I may wait until the other person gets all their scripts, borrow from their script list, and make the internet-mocking Pokemon game that Sabre and I were trying to think up using RMVX (RPG Maker VX) instead.

And I think I'll do the same thing with my Sonic/Pokemon crossover game.

07:02 pm - I should update...

I haven't centered on what the main character(s) are gonna look like, yet. No, they won't be nuns. But I haven't found how to change their person-art... you know, the full, detailed view you gt when starting the game, and at the end when "you and your Pokemon" are being inducted into the Hall of Fame. I'll get it soon, though.

In other news... I wonder if I can hack Final Fantasy Tactics Advance... Soon Sonic will invade a SquareEnix game... Mwahahaha!

In other, other news, I seem to have caught a cold.

04:20 pm - ... She's Gonna Kill Me

It'sa been a hwile. I had some kind of something hit my sleep schedule... and I found myself falling asleep at 4 in the afternoon and waking up at 2 in the morning, unable to fall back asleep. So while I wiled away the wee hours of the morning, I played around with a program that my friend gave me, that she nicknamed "Fluffy Non-Suspicous Bunnies." Long story.

04:01 pm - ... And the Walls Came Tumbling Down...

The ROM crashed on me. So I have to start over from scratch. But I'm gonna learn from my mistake... I'll use a Sapphire or Emerald ROM this time, and complete the entire Pokedex first before editing anything else of the game.

On that note... I got bored last night and did some character fusion sprites.

04:22 pm - ... the SEGADEX

I managed to get ahold of YAPE 0.9. It's a tool used to edit Pokemon Pokedex entries, movelists, evolutions, types, and all that. So I've been playing around with that, and it's turning out pretty good thus far.

I've got super forms for all the Sonic chars I've added (yes, I came up with a super form for Rouge), and I've decided that they each will evolve to a Super Form rather than using stones, except for Tails. Oh, and once I get the ROM uploaded and posted here, I'll advise you to make sure you leave a space open in your party when Sonic evolves ("transforms") at lvl 25, because Sonic becomes Supersonic, and Dark Sonic is created and added to your party.



I may raise Sonic's evolution level to 35 or 40.

01:56 pm - For Shits and Giggles, PART DEUX

Well, I've scrapped Camo (my personal Pokemon hack project) and decided to make Pokemon: The Sonic Project. As before, I'm just fucking around with the sprites, but I've managed to insert Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Shadow into the game, and the only one that looks like crap is Sonic becuase I chose the wrong Pokemon to put him over, so his blue turned out brownish.



I had to make a custom Super Tails and a custom Super Shadow because there aren't any suitable Super Tails/Shadow sprites in advance form.

For reference, Knuckles was copied over Hitmonchan (and I was going to copy Rouge over Hitmonlee), Tails is copied over Vulpix (so you'd have to use a special stone to make him evolve... I thought it fitting, since you have to collect the SUPER EMERALDS as well as the original Chaos Emeralds to get his Super form), Shadow is copied over Houdour (so you can't really get him until you beat the Elite 4 the first time), and Sonic was copied over Doduo (because he's... well... really fast).

I'm tempted to instead copy them over more fitting Pokemon, all of which using stones to evolve except for the ones that have no official Super form. THEN, I have to make a SHIT TON of fan characters, as well as collect admissions from other people that want to help, and make out a list of Pokemon that are already taken.

I've decided to make Eggman the leader of Team Rocket (or Team Eggman ^_^), aka Giovanni. Dunno yet what I'll do with Mewtwo, but I'm tempted to make it Metal Sonic (from Sonic Heroes) or that evil Shadowish looking hedgehog from Sonic 2006. I'll stick Silver in there somewhere, my own character Blaze will be in it, maybe Sabre's version of Blaze (I'll probably rename mine because his Blaze looks more fitting to the name of Blaze), just about all my fancharacters (since they are all Sonic themed XP), and if I can find a way to script it, I'll turn the Pokemon nursery into a... CHAO GARDEN!

So... that's the idea. The plot will be similar to that of the new game Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, in that the worlds of Sonic and Pokemon are on the same timeline and because of some strange magic rip in time and space, the two world have melded together. Eggman is taking over the world with the help of his Team Eggman, and it's up to you and the Sonic Team to take him down. Everything EXCEPT humans are, apparently, catchable.

So... anyone wanna help?

Like the title says. This one is for shits and giggles. I'm testing a program to replace sprites in Pokemon games.



Yep. That's EXACTLY what it looks like. It's not edited in MSPaint. Or Photoshop. Or GIMP. Or anything like that.

SPECIAL NOTE: Comet Punch is originally a NORMAL TYPE move. I changed that too.
 

05:55 pm - More work.

Just a small update... a group of four shots showing that (1) I've been messing with the text a bit, and (2) I fixed the warp between the Player's Dorm and the Rival's Dorm, and removed the staircase leading to a working (but very glitchy looking) Rival's room.



As of right now, you start with your choice of legendary dog.

02:28 pm - So... Hack Updates. AKA Screenshots.

This is the remodled Pallet Town. Once I'm able to get the hang of the sprite editing tool I managed to get ahold of, I'll be able to make it look more like a college campus and less like an Indian village.


This was formerly Route 1. Instead of forcing the player to go through all the grass, they have a choice. Naturally, fighting in the grass will level up their Pokemon, whereas avoiding the grass... won't?

This is all for now. I was doing some work on the dorms, but they haven't turned out the way I want them. When I'm satisfied with their setups, including warps and doorways, then I'll post screenshots here.

12:48 pm - Yeah... I Ramble

I don't think she knows what she's doing to me. She's all agression, all want, and no thinking. She's not a tease; she's a heartbreaker.

Maybe it's all just lust. Actually, I know it's all just lust. Not too sure if it's a rebound thing, but I know it's just lust.

No. There's more there, I can feel it. I don't know what it is, though. It's not a feeling of love or anything like that. I feel that if there were a relationship there, it wouldn't go very far. And she doesn't like me like that, anyway.

People have interfered with my last two relationships... with Alex, it was Alex herself, along with Liv, Chalsea, and anyone she tried to tell me to stop talking to. With the Chelsea in Houghton, it was mainly Alex and Liv. Now Alex is no longer in the picture, so I don't have to deal with her manipulating any longer. All I have to deal with is Liv's outright refusal to get over me and move the fuck on.

So long as I live here, Liv won't allow me to date anyone other than her, if she can help it. Even though she already has a boyfriend (or two).

I get jealous and depressed whenever I see Chalsea and that Jackie girl making out. They think it's cool, and that it's just another passing trend, but it's not. And the more I see it happen, the less I'm inclined to believe Chalsea when she tells me that it's just for fun and it's not leading to anything more serious.

Maybe all there is to it is that I'm just jealous. I'm just jealous because I like her, and she doesn't like me. I like her and she likes someone else. I was just kissing practice.

But I liked kissing her...

I'm a pitiful, worthless mess. I don't know what to do about this whole "love" thing anymore.

I hope she never asks me what I like about her. From my experience, girls like specifics, and 'everything' isn't specific enough. I like the way she fiddles with her lip ring when she's thinking or when she's nervous. I like how she's so naive about things like sex or innuendos, but tries to get everyone to believe that she's not.

I love the way she hates her body shape, or how her butt looks. I love the way she thinks one of her breasts is 'better' than the other one.

I should just get a head start on things and get myself over this one before I get into anything with her. That's what I should do... avoid the whole things and advance to the end. She asked me last night if I still liked her, and I thought the answer was obvious, but I guess I was wrong. Hell yes, I still like her!

Cecile siad she still loved me, and I still hold some feelings for her, but she lives in Florida, and I'm in no way financially ready to move anywhere near Florida, especailly if there's a chance the relationship wouldn't work. I can't do another long-distance relationship of that magnitude.

Katt has a boyfriend... and we're too close freindship-wise to consider anything more serious than that. Plus she doesn't like me like that. And that's fine. I'd be too logic minded for her, and she'd be too artistic minded for me.

Aw, who am I kidding? I like her too...

This really doesn't do anything for me other than laying out my dramatic heart on paper...
